From the Artist
In my work, I explore how words affect our minds, hearts, and emotions. Words are powerful – they shape how we think, feel, and interact with the world. I’m interested in showing how we first see a word as a shape, and then how we connect that shape to create meaning. This process is what allows us to form thoughts and ideas.
Normally, when we read words, we understand them by their meaning. We connect the letters and sounds, which form a message. However, in my art, I want to show that words don’t always need to be read in the traditional sense to be understood. Instead of focusing only on the meaning of the words, I want to focus on how the shapes and forms of the letters themselves can create a visual scene or environment.
By arranging the structure of words in creative and unique ways, I want to demonstrate that a message or feeling can be communicated even without directly reading the words. It’s about the way words are put together to create something new and unexpected, allowing us to experience the power of language from a fresh perspective. Through this, I hope to reveal the hidden beauty and depth within the shapes and forms of words themselves.
